I also got very depressed and tried to figure out why? 2-3 weeks went by and still very depressed. 'Then I mistakenly thought I had the answer. I thought that 'this was what they call it when a person is...'falling away! So I began to jump through the hoops again for a week or two but it had nothing to do with me 'falling away.' Again I began to wonder what was going on. A grown man cry??? That's what I almost did a couple of times. 'What's going on?' Then it struck me that it had to be 'hidden' sin in my life. I thought on this possibility... Lord I haven't done anything that I haven't confessed to you!' So that wasn't it nether.' So what it turned out to be was, the Holy Spirit was convicting me, but I didn't know why. So I stopped going to meetings and out in service until I could find the problem. I be gain looking around to find any old ligature about any old Watchtower false teaching? 'I did!' ... In this strict biblical sense, Jesus Christ is the mediator for only anointed Christians. April 1, p. 31 1969 WT.
I read right through that and the Lord revealed to me that that was saying that I was 'walking around with out a mediator.' I had never heard or read that old WT article before. That was all it took for me to stop being a JW. I knew the elders would be coming so I began to restudy who I was in the eyes of God. I bought me a Strong's Concordance and began to look up if I was born again The Watchtower (WT)''book'' studies, told us 'no.' The WT was/is wrong.(Jn. 3:3, 5, John 14:20, 21, 23). Was I in Christ? Romans 8:1, 9,and Galatians 4:6,19 says Yes. John 7:37-39, Acts 1:4, 5, 8, Acts 2:17, 33, 38, Acts 5:32, Romans 8:1, 9. The deceitful WT dogma tries to 'rip away' the relationship that both the Father and the Son wants with each brother and sister in the congregation. John 17:17,19,20-23, 26. He is with us even in every storm ( Cor. 12:3)!
I couldn't partake of the Communion of the Lord's Supper because WT "book" studies said Romans 8:1,9 (and all these other passages) didn't apply to me. I told the elders to read John 7:37-39 'again to see exactly who Jesus was referring to there in 'each' of those 3 passages?
