Rather than leave with a letter I decided to fade as this meant less hurt to anyone there and didn't give a certain (very) few the pleasure of hearing my name read out.

I understand that and it's probably the best way to leave it you want to keep you family. Although, some family are militant JWs who would shun even faders, i hope yours arnt like that. For me, disassociating made me feel like i'd left on my terms... even tho they DF'd me later anyway. Good luck to you!! |

I am a fader of 9 years. I am being shunned by family for not attending meetings. It's possible I have been disfellowshipped but if I have no-one has informed me. It wouldn't make any difference to me if I were it's been so long now.
All the best with this forum. I had not come across it before seeing it on Jwn.

Hi. Im new here. I am fading from the Religion. But not to many see it yet. It's not new to them that I go when I can.I. am unfortunately just moved back in With my husband ( non believer) back to my Religious family.😣 Im so Desperately trying to move out. But Every Time we get ahead... Something happens and we need to start from scratch. Its Now 2 years back in the house. My family Doesn't know I'm Not a Believer, they know I work and They know I have Really Bad P.T.S.D.I use Both As a exuse to Not to go. They Don't understand what I'm going through but they Don't push to much but they are Disiponted. I just want to get out to be free.😢
